The Southern coast of Saint-Honorat
The Lérins Islands, well known
by the sailors and fishermen for centuries have
a very rich history. There are two islands, both
wild, with charming creeks, exotic vegetation,
clearest blue sea...
- Sainte Marguerite: there you
will find the famous "Fort Royal", an
old château used as a prison, with famous
prisoners such as the man with the iron mask.
- Saint Honorat: smaller and
wilder than Sainte Marguerite, this island belongs
to monks who live here in an old monastery. It
is open to public however.

Cap d'Antibes, by car or by Coach.
Grasse, well known worldwide
for being the capital of the perfume, is worth
a visit. You will have the opportunity to visit
the old Grasse, its old streets, and its 12th
century Cathedral sheltering paintings from Rubens
and Fragonard. You may as well visit one of the
numerous perfumeries (parfumeries) following
the production of a perfume from the flowers to
the bottling. There, the master perfumers, the
nez (noses) work on finding new perfumes.

This two very old villages,
both on the top of a rock, with great views on
the surroundings, are probably of the nicest place
in Provence. You will enjoy charming and very
old streets with old stones, old houses and chapels,
and a church from the 13th century in Saint-Paul.
Near Saint-Paul, you will find
Fondation Maeght, one of the biggest art foundation
in Europe, nestling in pine woods, with more than
5,000 works of modern arts such as Bonnard, Braque,
- Route Napoléon,
and the "Arrière Pays".

Cannes to Castellane, Digne, Sisteron and Grenoble.
Half a day to go from Cannes to Grenoble.
This is supposed to be one of the nicest French
Road, with canyons, perched villages, abbeys, nice
and wild mountains... It was taken by Napoléon when
he traveled from Elba towards Grenoble in 1815.

Le Cap d'Antibes is not far from
other interesting cities such as Cannes (30 min
by car), Nice
(45 min), Monaco (2 hours).
